The central phenomena of interest to nursing science are health and human-environmental interactions. Data was analyzed as follows : 1) Data was read and underline the theme 2) Data was categorized according to common themes and common factors 3) Theme was recategorized to higher levels of abstraction. The results indicated that interpersonal conflict management was the major theme in this study. Patterns of conflict management with the environment differ depending on the type of relationship. Conflict management patterns were used. They were emotional cut-off/distancing named "Âü´Â´Ù" which was dealing with the problem/active communication, which was named "Ǭ´Ù", "»èÀδÙ" included the patterns of transforming one¡¯s values and attitudes to resolve the conflict. The conflict management was dynamic and complex and multiple strategies were used. Certain types of conflict were accepted as inevitable in the life process, and conflict was not always seen as a negative force but could be defined as a developing process in the understanding and acceptance of others as unique human beings. New relationships and new patterns of coping were developed through conflict and becoming diverse and mature. There are limitations to the value of western concepts of coping patterns to explain Korean woman¡¯s ways of conflict management. The conceptual framework of Rogers and Parse were found to be helpful in interpreting the phenomena in this study.
